Owner: sign up at app.zziffy.com, add your outlet and staff, set shifts. After that you open the app to see who is in, approve leave, and run payroll at month end. Staff: open the Zziffy icon on their phone, tap Clock in, take the selfie, done. They also see their roster, apply for leave and download payslips from the same app.

Not today. Zziffy is a progressive web app (PWA). It opens in the phone browser and installs to the home screen with its own icon, full screen, like a normal app, with no store download and no waiting for updates.

Open the staff link (app.zziffy.com/crew/login) in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu, choose Install app or Add to Home screen, and confirm. The Zziffy icon appears with the other apps. It takes under a minute.

Open the staff link in Safari, tap the Share button, choose Add to Home Screen, then Add. Open it from the new icon. Push alerts on iPhone work only from the installed icon and need iOS 16.4 or newer.

You add each person with their mobile number. They sign in at the staff link with their mobile number or employee code and the password you share, and are asked to set their own password on first login.

Yes — and fast. The staff app is one big green Clock In button. Add to home screen once, tap-to-clock-in / tap-to-apply-leave / tap-to-download-payslip from there. Most workers do their first clock-in in under 15 seconds.

Honestly, most do — and Zziffy works on any reasonably modern Android or iPhone. For staff without a phone, you can mark attendance manually from the owner dashboard, or use kiosk mode on a shared tablet at the counter (each employee taps their name + selfies in).

Employee opens the PWA, taps the green Clock In button. Camera captures a live selfie + GPS coordinate. Both are shown to the owner in the live dashboard. Selfies are stored encrypted, visible only to the owner and the employee themselves.

You mark attendance manually from the owner dashboard in 5 seconds. Or use kiosk mode (shared tablet at the counter, employee taps their name + selfies in).

The app needs internet to record the clock-in (it has to reach our server). Most phones have data — even basic plans cover this. If you're in a true dead zone, owner-side manual entry covers it.

Per outlet, you can pin the location and set a radius. If a staff member tries to clock in from outside the fence, the app warns them. You decide whether to enforce or just flag.

Weekly grid. Rows are employees, columns are days. Create shift templates with colours, drop one into a cell. To retime a single day — tap that cell, change times, save. Two taps. The team's app updates immediately.

Yes. Each cell can carry a template OR an override for that specific day. So Priya's usual is 10–7, but Saturday she works 11–8 — just override that one cell.

No. Roster is the plan. Actual hours clocked still drive present/half-day/absent. So if someone shows up late, you just nudge the cell, no data ever gets out of sync.
